YourStory is hiring a Senior Motion Graphics Designer for the video team for its editorial & brand solutions videos. We are looking for a motion graphics designer who can use their artistic and creative skill sets to create exciting, engaging and innovative video content for YourStory and its clients.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience. The candidate should be a team player, a self-starter, and a disciplined worker.

Job Profile:

Design and create enticing motion graphics for video deliverables (promos, teasers, explainers, reels, motion graphics for brand videos, event stage creatives etc.)

Prepare design plan, concept and layout for motion graphic project

Assist in designing and creating storyboards

Provide accurate time estimates for each part of the motion graphic designing process

Create visually engaging content for various digital platforms, including social media, websites, and apps

Work with video producers and design teams to understand project scope and objectives, and to resolve any technical and/or design issues

Assist in selecting audio, video, colours, animation, etc for graphic design

Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.

Stay up-to-date with current design trends, techniques, and technologies to deliver fresh, cutting-edge designs

Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas

Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organisation of graphic files

Ensure compliance with company guidelines and design standards

Lead motion design projects from brief to execution, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and support their growth within the team

Candidates who are willing to apply must be based in Bangalore or be willing to relocate as they are required to come in to office everyday (5 days a week).

Mandatory Skill-sets:

Proficiency in motion design software like Adobe After Effects with demonstrable experience in motion graphics

Strong Adobe Premiere skills and ability to work with MOGRTs

Expertise in graphic design principles, including layout, typography, colour theory, and composition

Ability to convey complex ideas through animation and motion graphics in a compelling and visually appealing way

Minimum experience of 5-7 years

Strong Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is a requirement

Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

A strong eye for detail, ensuring every frame is polished and aligned with the overall creative vision

Knowledge of emerging motion design trends and technologies

Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams

Strong portfolio showcasing high-end digital design skills
