Cloud Based Platform, Knowlarity have been in the news lately. Recently announced amongst the "Technology Fast 50" by Deloitte, they've now been given a place in the "Top 10 companies identified in the Emerge League of 10 for 2012" by NASSCOM at the Product Conclave.

Sequoia backed Knowlarity (INR 34 crores) was founded by Ambarish Gupta and they've scaled upto a team of 200+ in about 4 years. So, what is SuperReceptionist?

"Knowlarity’s pioneering cloud based platform, SuperReceptionist, is uniquely positioned to take on many of these challenges facing the SME sector. Based on a cloud based platform, it provides affordable communication solutions for small and medium scale business enterprises."

And just to recap, here is what Knowlarity is:

"Knowlarity provides a suite of hosted voice applications for call tracking, call notifications, call forwarding, call automation and interactive voice response (IVR). These technologies help businesses manage, measure and automate voice communications."

Ambarish has been very bullish on marketing with his team and the more than 50% of the workforce is for sales. "The SME market is huge!" exclaimed Ambarish when we met him in our office and he told us how the sector is hard to tap and hence doesn't have competitors. Knowlarity has been able to crack the nut and have been successful in their endeavours. Abarish has also spilled some beans on how to sell to SMEs.

SuperRecptionist is their big best and they recently launched a mobile app for the same. Now, SR has been beefed up and here are some of the star features:

"With these added value propositions, we also intend to penetrate the startup market now. Startups are not huge money for us. We're not thinking from the revenue point of view over here, it's more about creating value with startups," says Ambarish. And with a huge team focused just on marketing, the outreach wouldn't be all that hard.
